International Congress: Families and Schools
October, 1st and 2nd 2015. Lleida
The involvement of families in schools has acquired an importance – for its positive effects on the pupils, the schools and the professionals as well as for the families themselves- that it was not granted years ago. This discourse has gradually taken root in the education faculties, administrations and the schools, although there is still some way to go.
The congress “Families and schools. The Challenges of participation” will analyze the factors with influence on the materialization of the discourse, as well as the resistances that arise, from the theoretical and practical points of view that give an opportunity for people and organizations who work to develop this every day to express their views.
The starting point for the debate will be the three framework conferences, given by Dubet, Naïr and Marina, and round tables on specific themes. Moreover, the communications that are presented are sure to delve deeper into the subject and give a clearer overview of the current situation. All this will enable conclusions to be drawn up and, most importantly, priority lines of work to be identified.
